This is my first review of an Asian restaurant in Park City, and so I freely confess that I may not have the right perspective. In any event, for a deep inland sushi restaurant, the sushi bar is truly excellent. We enjoyed quite a few different negiri and one maki and no complaints. I enjoyed the cooked food appetizers, too, although my wife wasn't especially thrilled with them. Prices are very high, I must say -- a threat to be only a three star on that regard.

Tiger something-er-other was amazing. It was one of their specials (not on the menu). The other rolls we ordered were excellent as well. Track lighting can be a little harsh depending on where you're sitting. Really speedy service (place was about half full).

We stumbled upon this quaint little sushi establishment behind main street. The waitress was nice and the sushi was good. The miso soup was a little watered down though. But all in all its was good sushi. My wife and I are sushi conessuiers and would definitely come back again.

Oishi has fresh fish, creative flavor combinations, and super friendly service. Their salmon especially was spectacular. We came in 15 minutes before closing and even though they were closing down the kitchen, they still took our orders (and were nice about it) and stayed open a little later. The luxury crunch roll was delicious, and the recommended special rolls were awesome. Also, Oishi offers 50% off sushi every day off season! Great deal :)

They do have 1/2 off sushi during off-shoulder season so I was already a Go on this place! The best part was I wanted to grab late night sushi (and by that, I was calling around at 8:50 to see who was open). Almost every place was closing and wouldn't wait for an order but this place was awesome and let me place an order. They even allowed for me to stop by and eat with my hubby who got out of class late (9:30 pm). This is why their stars are at 4 stars. Now, food was good overall. We had 4 dishes plus a nigiri and my favorite was one that mac nuts sprinkled on top (can't remember the name but ask for it). I've had better sushi but if you come during off season, get 50% off and the service is really nice and accommodating, you can't go wrong with this place!

This place is good. Not really good, just good. In terms of sushi it's a little bit above average but not much to be raved about. The the fish seemed moderately fresh but the seasonings and selections were great. The rice was also not fully cooked and was a bit on the tough side. The manager/owner lurks around the restaurant and stares at customers as they eat their meals. Kind of gives it a bad atmosphere. It was also very cold inside. Other than that everything was fine.

EXCELLENT Sushi restaurant in Park City. It's the GF's favorite and I can see why it's absolutely terrific service and awesome rolls and they serve and take care of you quickly. I think their customer service and waiting is top notch! We'll be back, count on it! Don't forget to get your garage parking validated but they only give you 1 hour!

The sushi here is good, but pricey. It's easy to eat heavy on a ski trip: burger, pizza and pasta places abound, and you're out all day in the cold, so hearty food often fits the bill. After a few days of such fare, a lighter option like sushi is a welcome change. But in a landlocked, white-washed small town, could it be any good? Well, at this place it is. Tonight we sampled the Utah, spicy scallop, shrimp tempura, and spicy tuna shishito rolls. All tasty, all good, with the shishito being my favorite. On food alone I'd give it four stars, but it's on the pricey side, even by big-city standards, with most rolls running $10 - 20. I've eaten at plenty of places in San Fran and New York that were of comparable quality but less expensive. I know it's a resort town, but still. So docking one star for spendiness from an otherwise good and pleasantly surprising experience.

This is the second time our group of golfers enjoy oishi sushi. We have the best of experiences from oishi which lead us to come back. Our waitress Elena remembered us from last year and provided excellent service. Our favorites are the tiger lily and the crispy alaskan. The playboy is also an excellent choice. We will definitely come back next year.

By far the best sushi to be had in Park City. Great flavor and good service. Just eat here, don't be tempted to eat at the Flying Sumo or that other crappy place on Main St. Oishi is the best!

Okay - Sushi in Park City? Too far from the ocean? Nah. Smokin' hot deal during the summer - 50% off sushi - you can't beat it and it's reasonably good. It's standard fare - they don't go off the grid too much with their rolls - spicy tuna, rainbow, california, etc., but it's well done and tasty. The place gets fairly crowded and I don't believe they take reservations, but it's been a couple months so my recollection in that area may be a little...uh....stale. With that said, the food is good - the tempura was solid, not too much oil and the batter was thin and not lumpy or thick. The sashimi portions were generous and the rolls were fresh and cut bite size thin. One of my pet peeves is when a sushi chef cuts the rolls so wide that you can't one bite it without looking like a neaderthal at supper.

Had a nice time. Really terrific waitress (Elena, I think). The sushi was good though I had the feeling that the fish portions in the rolls were a bit less than many places I have been. That wouldn't deter me from going back. We had all the special rolls and every one had someone in our group that liked it though the sweet Jesus roll was maybe bit too subtle. I noticed some folks having pretty tasty looking soup and tempura, I would try that next time. Dumplings and seaweed salad were nice appetizers.

Came in on a whim to have a quick bite between events. The sushi was so fresh and the wait staff very friendly and accomodating. Their rolls on the specials board are particularly good. My only complaint is that the bathrooms are kind of gross, which, in a sushi restaurant, leaves me a little worried. Fix that and they'd have 5 stars.

The food gets 5 stars, however, the atmosphere only gets 2 stars. The manager or owner was sitting in the corner only watching his employees. The courses came much too fast giving us the impression that they wanted to quickly sell the table again. Money driven rather than service or experience drive. Even an extra order of steamed rice had $3.99 to it (total check value of $220).

Been here two years in a row. Compared to Shabu (see my review on their nonexistent customer service), this place is paradise. Oishi is accommodating: last year they called when we were 10 min. late for our reservation to let us know they were saving our table for 8. Tonight, they gave the only open table - a 4-top - to just my dad and I. The food has been great. We've had a range of rolls & sashimi, and it's all tasted fresh and delicious. And the service was great. Elena tonight was especially humble, helpful and prompt. Take a short walk off the beaten path - away from Shabu - and go to Oishi.

Pricey.....forget about being a resort town...why do they change their prices during high season.....what about locals....humm seems a bit FISHY....tiger lily is their most popular cut roll if your willing to pay $17.50 for 8 pieces..and let's not forget half the roll is RICE!!! It was a Sunday night and I guess that's a pretty quiet night in these parts, especially during the summers. Walked around to check on various restaurants and settled on Oishi. Passed up on a sushi place a block away which was advertising 50% off sushi (discounted sushi seems to be a warning sign of, at most, average sushi). Sat down here and waiter told us that all sushi rolls and nigiri were 50% off (oh oh). But we continued on anyway. Overall, the food was just average. Nothing terrible but nothing to wow us either (outside of the normal $10 to $20 per roll prices). I realize that this whole area is full of expensive restaurants catering to the resort crowd. Service was average and there was a period of time where our waiter disappear for awhile leaving us with a bus person to handle our needs. Finally the regular waiter appeared in time to give us the bill though. The rolls were ok. They were able to accomodate our two kids who are a little picky when it comes to what they will eat in their rolls. The saba nigiri that I had was fine but the hamachi nigiri was flavorless. Tempura was a bit greasy (good tempura should not be so greasy). Overall, it was an average dinner which filled us up but not much else to make a fuss over. If not for the 50% off the sushi and rolls, we would have definitely felt that we paid too much for just average food.

If there was a sixth star I would make this place a six. Lemon zest on the oishi roll is amazing. The scallops baked and raw are to die for. The sushi guys will tailor to your every need. Try a normal spicy scallop roll and ask for them to bake it. We also ordered a special shrimp tempura roll with the seaweed on the inside and tempura on the top with eel sauce AMAZING. We also had the chicken terryaki . It was very moist instead of dry of which we come across very often. They have 50% off al rolls and Nigiri until dec 15, only open or dinner. The sushi chefs are very accommodating and will make anything you ask for, very friendly.

Only reason for 2* is b/c the rolls were pretty good. I say rolls are the only items worth eating here. We ordered Salmon and tofu Yakisoba for kids. Salmon was your typical overcooked salmon you get at a Japanese restaurant. It didn't even come with rice! But server said we can substitute steamed veg for rice so we did. Yakisoba was more than half onions. Yakisoba is supposed to be almost all noodles!!! I know b/c I grew up in Japan. Needless to say, my kids left half the dish uneaten. I guess that's how they make money. By filling the dish with onions. AND if you want a quiet night out, forget it. It's a very noisy place but no point deduction for that b/c that's not the restaurant's fault.

We love Oishi. Sure, it's better in the summer when you get 2-for-1s, but we still go when craving sushi in the winter. It is the best sushi in Park City. Only complaint is the wait and how the specials never really change. Fish is great! We will return many times!

We came here on Monday night for the last night of half off sushi. It was crowded and our food took a long time to come out but our waitress (whose name I forgot but she was from Eastern Europe) was excellent and handled everything very well. We loved the Sweet Jesus roll and the Tigerlily roll.

I wanted to see what all the yelp fuss was about here... not impressed. Of course it's expensive, I was expecting that in Park City. But I thought the food would be way better! my sashimi was actually kinda fishy! Yuck! I've eaten raw fish at a couple of other restaurants in town... This place is GREAT. Every time I have family/friends come into town we go here. It's semi-pricey, but certainly not bad by main street standards, so 5 stars, aside from being pricey, but what sushi place that makes good food isn't? I can't speak to their kitchen menu, but their sushi is quite good. I am a fan of their many specialty roles and their sushi chefs have always recommended good rolls, a few of which I still order every time I go.

For 6 pieces of nigiri, spicy tuna roll, and spicy scallop roll with a hot tea came be to $27. $4 for hot tea is bit high but at least I drank two pots worth. Service was average. First off, it's Park City, so before you knock the price just compare it to other similar places first- it's very reasonable, all things considered. We went on a Friday night in early Jan, got seated right away (even though the place was busy), and experienced nothing short of GREAT service. Water was prompt and we never saw the bottom of our glasses, dishes were cleared immediately, and everyone was super friendly. We can only speak to the dishes we got: the beef lettuce wraps, spicy calamari roll, and Lunatic roll. In a word- yum! In a few more words- delicious, fresh tasting, and very satisfying. The only minor criticism was that the Lunatic roll had a bit much sauce drizzled on top- easily remedied by asking them to go easy on the drizzle or skip altogether. Frankly, I hope this place continues to get middling reviews; just means more people will avoid it and we will continue to have no problem being seated on a Friday night.

We stopped in here early november, and lucky us almost all the sushi was half off. everyone was happy with their order. Great job! The red dragon, spicy tuna, and utah roll were my favorites. They even had an angus beef taco, that our non sushi eating friend really enjoyed. Decor- I guess this was an old mexican joint, the bathrooms are Hombres and Mujeres which was strange for a sushi resturarant. Fine with me, Park City is expensive and any bargain is a great find.

Sad face. When I lived in Old Town PC, Oishi was my go-to for sushi because it always had killer service, tasty rolls, and a place to rest my tuches. This old reliable is still decent. Crab and shrimp rolls like the playboy are fine. Service is always stellar. I don't hate Oishi. It's fine, really. But, the past few visits have been lacking. I don't know what it is, but the rolls no longer sing out to me! Instead my rice babies crumble apart when I pick them up. The oishi roll which could once woo me into a state of bliss leaves me lukewarm and unimpressed. My escolar nigiri was meh. Going off my recollection - which I admit could be off - I have some qualms. Prices seemed to have gone up, but maybe they do every summer when they offer their 50% off deal. It must be cold out because roll sizes seems to have shrunk. And, the fish doesn't taste as fresh. Oishi, what's up?? Where's the love? Until I feel it in my heart, I won't be driving in from Summit Park.

This is the best sushi I have ever had, and I have had sushi on five continents. The Oishi roll kept me coming back, but when I branched out and tried the Tiger Lilly roll, that was maybe the best thing I have ever had in my mouth. The Kobe beef tacos are just okay, and way too high of an opportunity cost if it makes you miss the sushi!

Went here on a recent Wednesday during off season. All the outside tables were filled, inside not so much, bar empty. Sushi chef was attentive and service was fast. Sushi very good, but the fish selection was standard fare. They have dozens of specialty rolls, if that's your thing. Sushi was half priced, which lessened the Park City sting. Would dine here again.

Not bad sushi....extremely overpriced. Rolls are on the smaller side, but at least they taste good! We sat at the sushi bar and service was great. They have a special sauce which is a mix of siracha, spicy mayo, and eel sauce...ask for some to dip your sushi in, it's delicious! I would definitely recommend this cozy sushi joint, I just hate paying so much for the food!

My only experience with this place is during Sundance. I've eaten here a total of 3 times and every time is enjoyable. Slightly off the main drag, I can always find a seat, get a mug of hot green tea and some delicious sushi rolls. What more can one ask for? Regarding the price - EVERYTHING in Park City is super expensive. If this joint were on Ventura in Studio City, I would think them crazy for charging so much.

The people (friends of a friend) who work here are really great so this has nothing to do with them, but i came here on a nice night to celebrate some events in my life and the food was ehhhh, the fancy vibe wasn't exactly kickin it (more like faux fancy), and the sake tasted like soy sauce. i would go to meet up with friends but leave the food alone.

I chose Oishi based upon Yelp and Travel Advisor recommendations. Having traveled the world and eaten Sushi in numerous countries, I can honestly say that Oishi ranks as some of the worst Sushi I have ever eaten. The fish was not fresh and the combination of items in their "signature" rolls just do not really go together.

Very Small, but good rolls. Service was mediocre @ best. 6 of dined....we got 8 rolls @ once...which 3 of us ordered and then waited @ least 15 minutes for the other 3 people to be served. Being that we came to the restaurant to dine together we obviously*big surprise here* wanted to eat together... we waited to eat until we were all served leaving our prior delivered hot rolls eaten cold and our cold rolls eaten @ room temperature....they also hit u with a 18% before discount gratuity...which the waiter didn't tell us about. Its my job to pay attention to the charges on my check but in my mind the waiter was hoping we would overlook it and leave him additional. Thats the same as stealing in my book. I would have tipped him 10% at best given the food mix up which he was responsible for...Never even offered a partial comp for the extended wait.....i won't be back....pure shitshow!!!

I decided to go outside the Salt Lake area and try a Park City establishment. We tried several sushi "specials" and they were outstanding all prepared by our Moldovian sushi chef. He also seemed to know what less authentic "american" sushi choices were as well. :) I also had my customary assorted sashimi plate and it was very good too. If you are visiting Park City you can't go wrong with Oishi.

I love all kinds of food, Japanese being one of my top choices. While on ski vacation, I yelped restaurants and tried oishi. It was such a disappointment. The portions are tiny, and the prices were high. They were out of some of their specials they posted and got our order wrong. The bill was $200 and we left hungry. we then looked for somewhere else to eat. I would never go back to this restaurant.

we came here based off yelp reviews and the craving for asian food - we were not disappointed! we called ahead of time to check on their special that was listed on their website (50% off rolls and nigiri) and they confirmed that it was valid and that we just had to dine in to receive the great deal. we came around 6:00 PM on a saturday night and were seated quickly. our server was excellent!!! 5 stars for the wonderful service. when my bf realized that he had left a beer in the freezer he left to go take it out so we wouldn't return home to a mess. he was gone for about 10 minutes and our server asked me if he could put my bf's sake in the fridge to keep it cold for him until he came back. how considerate! we ordered six rolls (2 ichis, one super dragon, tiger lily, caterpillar, and spider) and they came out quite quickly. all the rolls were delicious with the exception of the tiger lily - it was okay, but i wouldn't order it again. overall i was quite happy with the service and with the quality of the food. our total was $65 (before tip) and that's not bad for 6 rolls of sushi and a glass of sake. we left around 7:30 and that's when more people started coming in so we were glad we came a bit early. overall a great experience and we're actually planning on returning for lunch tomorrow!

the food is pretty good, above average, but the service is generally pretty awful. Servers always make excuses why they don't attend to the tables in a timely manner, the owner/manager sits on his @ss most of the time - even when the place is slammed and the servers are "in the weeds" Unfortunately, this is not SoCal where decent sushi is around almost every corner, so we don't have too many choices and have to put up with the weak @ss service for the decent food

Horrible. This place is horrible. The prices are so high and the sushi isn't even good at all!!! I am from Japan and compared to authentic sushi, this is horrible. It was not fresh at all and the proportions were so little and it costs so much. Also, you share a bathroom with a Mexican restaurant right next door and it isn't very clean. The service was rather slow considering there was only 1 table besides my group. It isn't even worth going here as the sushi is disgusting and the prices are so high like the gas prices. I will never go here again, nor recommend this place to a friend

Oishi is a solid 4 stars, maybe 3 stars if you're comparing to places outside of Park City. I have a hard time giving 5 stars to any of the Japanese places in Park City because I feel like they're way overpriced. I could spend $100 on sushi and leave slightly hungry at most of these places. Ratings are all relative, anyway. Oishi however has some of the freshest fish in town for sashimi and nigiri and the owner/chef always seems to be working behind the sushi bar. If you like tempura-style rolls and the rolls with the goofy names they have quite a few of those as well, and all are prepared with great skill and consideration to flavor, texture, and the quality of the ingredients. The dining room is simple, a bit small, clean, but not fancy. They have a few tv's so it's definitely not upscale. In a town with lower rent the prices wouldn't be so sky high. From May until the end of November you can get half-off all nigiri and maki, so that's the best time to go, otherwise you're paying tourist prices, so figure maybe $25/person during the off-season, $50+/person in-season for sushi. Sushi is all relative so keep your expectations in check. Park City, Utah isn't going to compete with Tsukiji Fish Market, but nevertheless, everything is skillfully prepared and presented at Oishi.

Five stars during the off season with the 2 for 1 going, three stars during tourist season. Still good food but not the same kickass local spot it is during the summer. The fish is pretty good, better than some more "upscale" places in PC. Good outdoor seating which is strangely rare on Main.

Great sushi place, fairly inexpensive for being on Main Street in Park City. They are knowledgeable about gluten-free dining, and even offer GF tamari sauce! The owner is a bit intense - you have to leave your credit card number with him if you want to make a reservation! And maybe it was just Sundance, but it seemed like they watched the tables, trying to make you hurry up for the next seating/reservation. However, the sushi was GREAT! I am a big fan, and if I go to Sundance again, I will definitely go. It would be safe to make a reservation, but you don't have to - it's a very small place, but most people are dining at the more uppity sushi places, so you don't have that much of a wait.

We came here with a group of 12 on a Saturday night. Waitstaff was super attentive and friendly, and were great about pointing us in the direction of menu items that were 50% off that night. Everyone at the table was an athlete and we managed to leave with full bellies at $30 a head with tip. Not bad at all for a lot of really good sushi and the added ambience of sitting outside with 11 friends.

Tried this place because it was one of the few places open pre-ski season in Park City. We were seated immediately (option for table or sushi bar). The menu had a good variety of apps and rolls. Overall, the sushi was just ok. Not the best we've ever had but pretty good. When we originally got our bill, the price was steep (average about $10 per roll) but when the waiter came back with the credit card reciept he applied a 25% 'locals discount'. We'd go back...

I was surprised at the high quality of the fish here, particularly so far inland. The waiter recommended a spicy roll with salmon and it was the bomb. The dragon roll was actually on the too sweet side and I thought it was a little too fried. Service was very decent from the waiter, though the sushi chef seemed pretty out of it. Nice looking place. Way too expensive for what you get (left hungry for sure) even after a $45 bill, but for a sushi fix when in the mountains, it is a good call.

I am a local Concierge in Park City for a very exclusive clientele. I have tried all Sushi restaurants here. AVOID this one. The owner has no respect for his guests. Changed a light bulb above us during our dinner and disturbed us without asking. I asked him to stop and he laughed. The food was OK, nothing special. They also hit you with a service charge of 18% when having 50% off Sushi and then don't tell you hoping you still leave more tip. I will not be sending ANY guests to this establishment.

We read the reviews and couldn't decide if we wanted to venture into sushi in PC. Several locals recommended Oishi. We then heard low season they were offering "2 for 1" prices and we decided to check it out(although discounted sushi usually scares me!). OISHI was fantastic! Everything we had was very good. The sushi chefs were lightning fast, and our waiter did an amazing job. I will return if ever back in PC!

I'm surprised this sushi place hadn't appeared on yelp yet as it's right on main street and has multiple reviews on google maps. Anyway, I just moved into town and wanted to give my two cents. My girlfriend and I went last night and sat at the sushi bar. The off-season deals around here are pretty ridiculous so we were able to enjoy 1/2 off nigiri and rolls. Having stuffed ourselves with mexican food earlier in the day we had a pretty minimal order but it was all delicious. Whitefish tuna, yellowtail and albacore nigiri were all fresh and tasty - the whitefish was the highlight. The Mexi roll (whitefish tempura, cucumber and cilantro) and avalanche roll (lobster salad, smoked salmon, cream cheese) were both nice rolls. Nothing too out there as far as combinations go and we were satisfied. It was a slow night and we had the attention of two servers and a sushi chef and never felt ignored. They were all pleasant if not somewhat checked out as the snow hasn't started falling and the madness hasn't begun. I will say that I'm not sure we'll be going back here when it's full price because I'm on a ski bum budget and this has the usual 20% park city-main street markup, but for now I'll take my 1/2 off rolls as long as I can!

We stumbled upon this quaint little sushi establishment behind main street. The waitress was nice and the sushi was good. The miso soup was a little watered down though. But all in all its was good sushi. My wife and I are sushi conessuiers and would definitely come back again.

Oishi has fresh fish, creative flavor combinations, and super friendly service. Their salmon especially was spectacular. We came in 15 minutes before closing and even though they were closing down the kitchen, they still took our orders (and were nice about it) and stayed open a little later. The luxury crunch roll was delicious, and the recommended special rolls were awesome. Also, Oishi offers 50% off sushi every day off season! Great deal :)

They do have 1/2 off sushi during off-shoulder season so I was already a Go on this place! The best part was I wanted to grab late night sushi (and by that, I was calling around at 8:50 to see who was open). Almost every place was closing and wouldn't wait for an order but this place was awesome and let me place an order. They even allowed for me to stop by and eat with my hubby who got out of class late (9:30 pm). This is why their stars are at 4 stars. Now, food was good overall. We had 4 dishes plus a nigiri and my favorite was one that mac nuts sprinkled on top (can't remember the name but ask for it). I've had better sushi but if you come during off season, get 50% off and the service is really nice and accommodating, you can't go wrong with this place!

Oishi is a solid 4 stars, maybe 3 stars if you're comparing to places outside of Park City. I have a hard time giving 5 stars to any of the Japanese places in Park City because I feel like they're way overpriced. I could spend $100 on sushi and leave slightly hungry at most of these places. Ratings are all relative, anyway. Oishi however has some of the freshest fish in town for sashimi and nigiri and the owner/chef always seems to be working behind the sushi bar. If you like tempura-style rolls and the rolls with the goofy names they have quite a few of those as well, and all are prepared with great skill and consideration to flavor, texture, and the quality of the ingredients. The dining room is simple, a bit small, clean, but not fancy. They have a few tv's so it's definitely not upscale. In a town with lower rent the prices wouldn't be so sky high. From May until the end of November you can get half-off all nigiri and maki, so that's the best time to go, otherwise you're paying tourist prices, so figure maybe $25/person during the off-season, $50+/person in-season for sushi. Sushi is all relative so keep your expectations in check. Park City, Utah isn't going to compete with Tsukiji Fish Market, but nevertheless, everything is skillfully prepared and presented at Oishi.

Great sushi place, fairly inexpensive for being on Main Street in Park City. They are knowledgeable about gluten-free dining, and even offer GF tamari sauce! The owner is a bit intense - you have to leave your credit card number with him if you want to make a reservation! And maybe it was just Sundance, but it seemed like they watched the tables, trying to make you hurry up for the next seating/reservation. However, the sushi was GREAT! I am a big fan, and if I go to Sundance again, I will definitely go. It would be safe to make a reservation, but you don't have to - it's a very small place, but most people are dining at the more uppity sushi places, so you don't have that much of a wait.

This place is good. Not really good, just good. In terms of sushi it's a little bit above average but not much to be raved about. The the fish seemed moderately fresh but the seasonings and selections were great. The rice was also not fully cooked and was a bit on the tough side. The manager/owner lurks around the restaurant and stares at customers as they eat their meals. Kind of gives it a bad atmosphere. It was also very cold inside. Other than that everything was fine.

The sushi here is good, but pricey. It's easy to eat heavy on a ski trip: burger, pizza and pasta places abound, and you're out all day in the cold, so hearty food often fits the bill. After a few days of such fare, a lighter option like sushi is a welcome change. But in a landlocked, white-washed small town, could it be any good? Well, at this place it is. Tonight we sampled the Utah, spicy scallop, shrimp tempura, and spicy tuna shishito rolls. All tasty, all good, with the shishito being my favorite. On food alone I'd give it four stars, but it's on the pricey side, even by big-city standards, with most rolls running $10 - 20. I've eaten at plenty of places in San Fran and New York that were of comparable quality but less expensive. I know it's a resort town, but still. So docking one star for spendiness from an otherwise good and pleasantly surprising experience.

Our waitress Elena remembered us from last year and provided excellent service. Our favorites are the tiger lily and the crispy alaskan. The playboy is also an excellent choice. Okay - Sushi in Park City? Too far from the ocean? Nah. Smokin' hot deal during the summer - 50% off sushi - you can't beat it and it's reasonably good. It's standard fare - they don't go off the grid too much with their rolls - spicy tuna, rainbow, california, etc., but it's well done and tasty. The place gets fairly crowded and I don't believe they take reservations, but it's been a couple months so my recollection in that area may be a little...uh....stale. With that said, the food is good - the tempura was solid, not too much oil and the batter was thin and not lumpy or thick. The sashimi portions were generous and the rolls were fresh and cut bite size thin. One of my pet peeves is when a sushi chef cuts the rolls so wide that you can't one bite it without looking like a neaderthal at supper.

Had a nice time. Really terrific waitress (Elena, I think). The sushi was good though I had the feeling that the fish portions in the rolls were a bit less than many places I have been. That wouldn't deter me from going back. We had all the special rolls and every one had someone in our group that liked it though the sweet Jesus roll was maybe bit too subtle. I noticed some folks having pretty tasty looking soup and tempura, I would try that next time. Dumplings and seaweed salad were nice appetizers.

The courses came much too fast giving us the impression that they wanted to quickly sell the table again. Money driven rather than service or experience drive. Been here two years in a row. Compared to Shabu (see my review on their nonexistent customer service), this place is paradise. Oishi is accommodating: last year they called when we were 10 min. late for our reservation to let us know they were saving our table for 8. Tonight, they gave the only open table - a 4-top - to just my dad and I. The food has been great. We've had a range of rolls & sashimi, and it's all tasted fresh and delicious. And the service was great. Elena tonight was especially humble, helpful and prompt. Take a short walk off the beaten path - away from Shabu - and go to Oishi.

It's semi-pricey, but certainly not bad by main street standards, so 5 stars, aside from being pricey, but what sushi place that makes good food isn't? I can't speak to their kitchen menu, but their sushi is quite good. It was a Sunday night and I guess that's a pretty quiet night in these parts, especially during the summers. Walked around to check on various restaurants and settled on Oishi. Passed up on a sushi place a block away which was advertising 50% off sushi (discounted sushi seems to be a warning sign of, at most, average sushi). Sat down here and waiter told us that all sushi rolls and nigiri were 50% off (oh oh). But we continued on anyway. Overall, the food was just average. Nothing terrible but nothing to wow us either (outside of the normal $10 to $20 per roll prices). I realize that this whole area is full of expensive restaurants catering to the resort crowd. Service was average and there was a period of time where our waiter disappear for awhile leaving us with a bus person to handle our needs. Finally the regular waiter appeared in time to give us the bill though. The rolls were ok. They were able to accomodate our two kids who are a little picky when it comes to what they will eat in their rolls. The saba nigiri that I had was fine but the hamachi nigiri was flavorless. Tempura was a bit greasy (good tempura should not be so greasy). Overall, it was an average dinner which filled us up but not much else to make a fuss over. If not for the 50% off the sushi and rolls, we would have definitely felt that we paid too much for just average food.

If there was a sixth star I would make this place a six. Lemon zest on the oishi roll is amazing. The scallops baked and raw are to die for. The sushi guys will tailor to your every need. Try a normal spicy scallop roll and ask for them to bake it. We also ordered a special shrimp tempura roll with the seaweed on the inside and tempura on the top with eel sauce AMAZING. We also had the chicken terryaki . It was very moist instead of dry of which we come across very often. They have 50% off al rolls and Nigiri until dec 15, only open or dinner. The sushi chefs are very accommodating and will make anything you ask for, very friendly.

Only reason for 2* is b/c the rolls were pretty good. I say rolls are the only items worth eating here. We ordered Salmon and tofu Yakisoba for kids. Salmon was your typical overcooked salmon you get at a Japanese restaurant. It didn't even come with rice! But server said we can substitute steamed veg for rice so we did. Yakisoba was more than half onions. Yakisoba is supposed to be almost all noodles!!! I know b/c I grew up in Japan. Needless to say, my kids left half the dish uneaten. I guess that's how they make money. By filling the dish with onions. AND if you want a quiet night out, forget it. It's a very noisy place but no point deduction for that b/c that's not the restaurant's fault.

First off, it's Park City, so before you knock the price just compare it to other similar places first- it's very reasonable, all things considered. We went on a Friday night in early Jan, got seated right away (even though the place was busy), and experienced nothing short of GREAT service. Water was prompt and we never saw the bottom of our glasses, dishes were cleared immediately, and everyone was super friendly. We can only speak to the dishes we got: the beef lettuce wraps, spicy calamari roll, and Lunatic roll. In a word- yum! In a few more words- delicious, fresh tasting, and very satisfying. The only minor criticism was that the Lunatic roll had a bit much sauce drizzled on top- easily remedied by asking them to go easy on the drizzle or skip altogether. Frankly, I hope this place continues to get middling reviews; just means more people will avoid it and we will continue to have no problem being seated on a Friday night.

Sad face. When I lived in Old Town PC, Oishi was my go-to for sushi because it always had killer service, tasty rolls, and a place to rest my tuches. This old reliable is still decent. Crab and shrimp rolls like the playboy are fine. Service is always stellar. I don't hate Oishi. It's fine, really. But, the past few visits have been lacking. I don't know what it is, but the rolls no longer sing out to me! Instead my rice babies crumble apart when I pick them up. The oishi roll which could once woo me into a state of bliss leaves me lukewarm and unimpressed. My escolar nigiri was meh. Going off my recollection - which I admit could be off - I have some qualms. Prices seemed to have gone up, but maybe they do every summer when they offer their 50% off deal. It must be cold out because roll sizes seems to have shrunk. And, the fish doesn't taste as fresh. Oishi, what's up?? Where's the love? Until I feel it in my heart, I won't be driving in from Summit Park.

The Oishi roll kept me coming back, but when I branched out and tried the Tiger Lilly roll, that was maybe the best thing I have ever had in my mouth. My only experience with this place is during Sundance. I've eaten here a total of 3 times and every time is enjoyable. Slightly off the main drag, I can always find a seat, get a mug of hot green tea and some delicious sushi rolls. What more can one ask for? Regarding the price - EVERYTHING in Park City is super expensive. If this joint were on Ventura in Studio City, I would think them crazy for charging so much.

Being that we came to the restaurant to dine together we obviously*big surprise here* wanted to eat together... we waited to eat until we were all served leaving our prior delivered hot rolls eaten cold and our cold rolls eaten @ room temperature....they also hit u with a 18% before discount gratuity...which the waiter didn't tell us about. Its my job to pay attention to the charges on my check but in my mind the waiter was hoping we would overlook it and leave him additional. Thats the same as stealing in my book. I would have tipped him 10% at best given the food mix up which he was responsible for...Never even offered a partial comp for the extended wait.....i won't be back....pure shitshow!!!

I decided to go outside the Salt Lake area and try a Park City establishment. We tried several sushi "specials" and they were outstanding all prepared by our Moldovian sushi chef. He also seemed to know what less authentic "american" sushi choices were as well. :) I also had my customary assorted sashimi plate and it was very good too. If you are visiting Park City you can't go wrong with Oishi.

The portions are tiny, and the prices were high. They were out of some of their specials they posted and got our order wrong. The bill was $200 and we left hungry. we then looked for somewhere else to eat. I would never go back to this restaurant.

I am a local Concierge in Park City for a very exclusive clientele. I have tried all Sushi restaurants here. AVOID this one. The owner has no respect for his guests. Changed a light bulb above us during our dinner and disturbed us without asking. I asked him to stop and he laughed. The food was OK, nothing special. They also hit you with a service charge of 18% when having 50% off Sushi and then don't tell you hoping you still leave more tip. I will not be sending ANY guests to this establishment.

We then heard low season they were offering "2 for 1" prices and we decided to check it out(although discounted sushi usually scares me!). OISHI was fantastic! Everything we had was very good. The sushi chefs were lightning fast, and our waiter did an amazing job. I will return if ever back in PC!

we came here based off yelp reviews and the craving for asian food - we were not disappointed! we called ahead of time to check on their special that was listed on their website (50% off rolls and nigiri) and they confirmed that it was valid and that we just had to dine in to receive the great deal. we came around 6:00 PM on a saturday night and were seated quickly. our server was excellent!!! 5 stars for the wonderful service. when my bf realized that he had left a beer in the freezer he left to go take it out so we wouldn't return home to a mess. he was gone for about 10 minutes and our server asked me if he could put my bf's sake in the fridge to keep it cold for him until he came back. how considerate! we ordered six rolls (2 ichis, one super dragon, tiger lily, caterpillar, and spider) and they came out quite quickly. all the rolls were delicious with the exception of the tiger lily - it was okay, but i wouldn't order it again. overall i was quite happy with the service and with the quality of the food. our total was $65 (before tip) and that's not bad for 6 rolls of sushi and a glass of sake. we left around 7:30 and that's when more people started coming in so we were glad we came a bit early. overall a great experience and we're actually planning on returning for lunch tomorrow!

Servers always make excuses why they don't attend to the tables in a timely manner, the owner/manager sits on his @ss most of the time - even when the place is slammed and the servers are "in the weeds" Unfortunately, this is not SoCal where decent sushi is around almost every corner, so we don't have too many choices and have to put up with the weak @ss service for the decent food

Horrible. This place is horrible. The prices are so high and the sushi isn't even good at all!!! I am from Japan and compared to authentic sushi, this is horrible. It was not fresh at all and the proportions were so little and it costs so much. Also, you share a bathroom with a Mexican restaurant right next door and it isn't very clean. I'm surprised this sushi place hadn't appeared on yelp yet as it's right on main street and has multiple reviews on google maps. Anyway, I just moved into town and wanted to give my two cents. My girlfriend and I went last night and sat at the sushi bar. The off-season deals around here are pretty ridiculous so we were able to enjoy 1/2 off nigiri and rolls. Having stuffed ourselves with mexican food earlier in the day we had a pretty minimal order but it was all delicious. Whitefish tuna, yellowtail and albacore nigiri were all fresh and tasty - the whitefish was the highlight. The Mexi roll (whitefish tempura, cucumber and cilantro) and avalanche roll (lobster salad, smoked salmon, cream cheese) were both nice rolls. Nothing too out there as far as combinations go and we were satisfied. It was a slow night and we had the attention of two servers and a sushi chef and never felt ignored. They were all pleasant if not somewhat checked out as the snow hasn't started falling and the madness hasn't begun. I will say that I'm not sure we'll be going back here when it's full price because I'm on a ski bum budget and this has the usual 20% park city-main street markup, but for now I'll take my 1/2 off rolls as long as I can!

We came here with a group of 12 on a Saturday night. Waitstaff was super attentive and friendly, and were great about pointing us in the direction of menu items that were 50% off that night. Everyone at the table was an athlete and we managed to leave with full bellies at $30 a head with tip. Not bad at all for a lot of really good sushi and the added ambience of sitting outside with 11 friends.

I was surprised at the high quality of the fish here, particularly so far inland. The waiter recommended a spicy roll with salmon and it was the bomb. The dragon roll was actually on the too sweet side and I thought it was a little too fried. Service was very decent from the waiter, though the sushi chef seemed pretty out of it. Nice looking place. Way too expensive for what you get (left hungry for sure) even after a $45 bill, but for a sushi fix when in the mountains, it is a good call.

Tried this place because it was one of the few places open pre-ski season in Park City. We were seated immediately (option for table or sushi bar). The menu had a good variety of apps and rolls. Overall, the sushi was just ok. Not the best we've ever had but pretty good. When we originally got our bill, the price was steep (average about $10 per roll) but when the waiter came back with the credit card reciept he applied a 25% 'locals discount'. We'd go back...

This is my first review of an Asian restaurant in Park City, and so I freely confess that I may not have the right perspective. In any event, for a deep inland sushi restaurant, the sushi bar is truly excellent. We enjoyed quite a few different negiri and one maki and no complaints. I enjoyed the cooked food appetizers, too, although my wife wasn't especially thrilled with them. Prices are very high, I must say -- a threat to be only a three star on that regard.

This place is good. Not really good, just good. In terms of sushi it's a little bit above average but not much to be raved about. The the fish seemed moderately fresh but the seasonings and selections were great. The rice was also not fully cooked and was a bit on the tough side. The manager/owner lurks around the restaurant and stares at customers as they eat their meals. Kind of gives it a bad atmosphere. It was also very cold inside. Other than that everything was fine.

They do have 1/2 off sushi during off-shoulder season so I was already a Go on this place! The best part was I wanted to grab late night sushi (and by that, I was calling around at 8:50 to see who was open). Almost every place was closing and wouldn't wait for an order but this place was awesome and let me place an order. They even allowed for me to stop by and eat with my hubby who got out of class late (9:30 pm). This is why their stars are at 4 stars. Now, food was good overall. We had 4 dishes plus a nigiri and my favorite was one that mac nuts sprinkled on top (can't remember the name but ask for it). I've had better sushi but if you come during off season, get 50% off and the service is really nice and accommodating, you can't go wrong with this place!

The sushi here is good, but pricey. It's easy to eat heavy on a ski trip: burger, pizza and pasta places abound, and you're out all day in the cold, so hearty food often fits the bill. After a few days of such fare, a lighter option like sushi is a welcome change. But in a landlocked, white-washed small town, could it be any good? Well, at this place it is. Tonight we sampled the Utah, spicy scallop, shrimp tempura, and spicy tuna shishito rolls. All tasty, all good, with the shishito being my favorite. On food alone I'd give it four stars, but it's on the pricey side, even by big-city standards, with most rolls running $10 - 20. I've eaten at plenty of places in San Fran and New York that were of comparable quality but less expensive. I know it's a resort town, but still. So docking one star for spendiness from an otherwise good and pleasantly surprising experience.

Okay - Sushi in Park City? Too far from the ocean? Nah. Smokin' hot deal during the summer - 50% off sushi - you can't beat it and it's reasonably good. It's standard fare - they don't go off the grid too much with their rolls - spicy tuna, rainbow, california, etc., but it's well done and tasty. The place gets fairly crowded and I don't believe they take reservations, but it's been a couple months so my recollection in that area may be a little...uh....stale. With that said, the food is good - the tempura was solid, not too much oil and the batter was thin and not lumpy or thick. The sashimi portions were generous and the rolls were fresh and cut bite size thin. One of my pet peeves is when a sushi chef cuts the rolls so wide that you can't one bite it without looking like a neaderthal at supper.

The food gets 5 stars, however, the atmosphere only gets 2 stars. The manager or owner was sitting in the corner only watching his employees. The courses came much too fast giving us the impression that they wanted to quickly sell the table again. Money driven rather than service or experience drive. Oishi is accommodating: last year they called when we were 10 min. late for our reservation to let us know they were saving our table for 8. Tonight, they gave the only open table - a 4-top - to just my dad and I. The food has been great. We've had a range of rolls & sashimi, and it's all tasted fresh and delicious. And the service was great. Elena tonight was especially humble, helpful and prompt. Take a short walk off the beaten path - away from Shabu - and go to Oishi.

It was a Sunday night and I guess that's a pretty quiet night in these parts, especially during the summers. Walked around to check on various restaurants and settled on Oishi. Passed up on a sushi place a block away which was advertising 50% off sushi (discounted sushi seems to be a warning sign of, at most, average sushi). Sat down here and waiter told us that all sushi rolls and nigiri were 50% off (oh oh). But we continued on anyway. Overall, the food was just average. Nothing terrible but nothing to wow us either (outside of the normal $10 to $20 per roll prices). I realize that this whole area is full of expensive restaurants catering to the resort crowd. Service was average and there was a period of time where our waiter disappear for awhile leaving us with a bus person to handle our needs. Finally the regular waiter appeared in time to give us the bill though. The rolls were ok. They were able to accomodate our two kids who are a little picky when it comes to what they will eat in their rolls. The saba nigiri that I had was fine but the hamachi nigiri was flavorless. Tempura was a bit greasy (good tempura should not be so greasy). Overall, it was an average dinner which filled us up but not much else to make a fuss over. If not for the 50% off the sushi and rolls, we would have definitely felt that we paid too much for just average food.

If there was a sixth star I would make this place a six. Lemon zest on the oishi roll is amazing. The scallops baked and raw are to die for. The sushi guys will tailor to your every need. Try a normal spicy scallop roll and ask for them to bake it. We also ordered a special shrimp tempura roll with the seaweed on the inside and tempura on the top with eel sauce AMAZING. We also had the chicken terryaki . It was very moist instead of dry of which we come across very often. They have 50% off al rolls and Nigiri until dec 15, only open or dinner. The sushi chefs are very accommodating and will make anything you ask for, very friendly.

Only reason for 2* is b/c the rolls were pretty good. I say rolls are the only items worth eating here. We ordered Salmon and tofu Yakisoba for kids. Salmon was your typical overcooked salmon you get at a Japanese restaurant. It didn't even come with rice! But server said we can substitute steamed veg for rice so we did. Yakisoba was more than half onions. Yakisoba is supposed to be almost all noodles!!! I know b/c I grew up in Japan. Needless to say, my kids left half the dish uneaten. I guess that's how they make money. By filling the dish with onions. AND if you want a quiet night out, forget it. It's a very noisy place but no point deduction for that b/c that's not the restaurant's fault.

It's semi-pricey, but certainly not bad by main street standards, so 5 stars, aside from being pricey, but what sushi place that makes good food isn't? I can't speak to their kitchen menu, but their sushi is quite good. First off, it's Park City, so before you knock the price just compare it to other similar places first- it's very reasonable, all things considered. We went on a Friday night in early Jan, got seated right away (even though the place was busy), and experienced nothing short of GREAT service. Water was prompt and we never saw the bottom of our glasses, dishes were cleared immediately, and everyone was super friendly. We can only speak to the dishes we got: the beef lettuce wraps, spicy calamari roll, and Lunatic roll. In a word- yum! In a few more words- delicious, fresh tasting, and very satisfying. The only minor criticism was that the Lunatic roll had a bit much sauce drizzled on top- easily remedied by asking them to go easy on the drizzle or skip altogether. Frankly, I hope this place continues to get middling reviews; just means more people will avoid it and we will continue to have no problem being seated on a Friday night.

Sad face. When I lived in Old Town PC, Oishi was my go-to for sushi because it always had killer service, tasty rolls, and a place to rest my tuches. This old reliable is still decent. Crab and shrimp rolls like the playboy are fine. Service is always stellar. I don't hate Oishi. It's fine, really. But, the past few visits have been lacking. I don't know what it is, but the rolls no longer sing out to me! Instead my rice babies crumble apart when I pick them up. The oishi roll which could once woo me into a state of bliss leaves me lukewarm and unimpressed. My escolar nigiri was meh. Going off my recollection - which I admit could be off - I have some qualms. Prices seemed to have gone up, but maybe they do every summer when they offer their 50% off deal. It must be cold out because roll sizes seems to have shrunk. And, the fish doesn't taste as fresh. Oishi, what's up?? Where's the love? Until I feel it in my heart, I won't be driving in from Summit Park.

My only experience with this place is during Sundance. I've eaten here a total of 3 times and every time is enjoyable. Slightly off the main drag, I can always find a seat, get a mug of hot green tea and some delicious sushi rolls. What more can one ask for? Regarding the price - EVERYTHING in Park City is super expensive. If this joint were on Ventura in Studio City, I would think them crazy for charging so much.

Being that we came to the restaurant to dine together we obviously*big surprise here* wanted to eat together... we waited to eat until we were all served leaving our prior delivered hot rolls eaten cold and our cold rolls eaten @ room temperature....they also hit u with a 18% before discount gratuity...which the waiter didn't tell us about. Its my job to pay attention to the charges on my check but in my mind the waiter was hoping we would overlook it and leave him additional. Thats the same as stealing in my book. I would have tipped him 10% at best given the food mix up which he was responsible for...Never even offered a partial comp for the extended wait.....i won't be back....pure shitshow!!!

I decided to go outside the Salt Lake area and try a Park City establishment. We tried several sushi "specials" and they were outstanding all prepared by our Moldovian sushi chef. He also seemed to know what less authentic "american" sushi choices were as well. :) I also had my customary assorted sashimi plate and it was very good too. If you are visiting Park City you can't go wrong with Oishi.

I love all kinds of food, Japanese being one of my top choices. While on ski vacation, I yelped restaurants and tried oishi. It was such a disappointment. The portions are tiny, and the prices were high. They were out of some of their specials they posted and got our order wrong. The bill was $200 and we left hungry. we then looked for somewhere else to eat. I would never go back to this restaurant.

we came here based off yelp reviews and the craving for asian food - we were not disappointed! we called ahead of time to check on their special that was listed on their website (50% off rolls and nigiri) and they confirmed that it was valid and that we just had to dine in to receive the great deal. we came around 6:00 PM on a saturday night and were seated quickly. our server was excellent!!! 5 stars for the wonderful service. when my bf realized that he had left a beer in the freezer he left to go take it out so we wouldn't return home to a mess. he was gone for about 10 minutes and our server asked me if he could put my bf's sake in the fridge to keep it cold for him until he came back. how considerate! we ordered six rolls (2 ichis, one super dragon, tiger lily, caterpillar, and spider) and they came out quite quickly. all the rolls were delicious with the exception of the tiger lily - it was okay, but i wouldn't order it again. overall i was quite happy with the service and with the quality of the food. our total was $65 (before tip) and that's not bad for 6 rolls of sushi and a glass of sake. we left around 7:30 and that's when more people started coming in so we were glad we came a bit early. overall a great experience and we're actually planning on returning for lunch tomorrow!

the food is pretty good, above average, but the service is generally pretty awful. Servers always make excuses why they don't attend to the tables in a timely manner, the owner/manager sits on his @ss most of the time - even when the place is slammed and the servers are "in the weeds" Unfortunately, this is not SoCal where decent sushi is around almost every corner, so we don't have too many choices and have to put up with the weak @ss service for the decent food

Awesome food, awesome service. Not only that, but when the blizzard hit in the middle of dinner, we were going to call for a taxi back to our hotel...the owner of the restaurant, Eddy...offered to drive my daughter and I back to our hotel! Pretty cool and made for a prefect night for us.

Horrible. This place is horrible. The prices are so high and the sushi isn't even good at all!!! I am from Japan and compared to authentic sushi, this is horrible. It was not fresh at all and the proportions were so little and it costs so much. Also, you share a bathroom with a Mexican restaurant right next door and it isn't very clean. The service was rather slow considering there was only 1 table besides my group. It isn't even worth going here as the sushi is disgusting and the prices are so high like the gas prices. I will never go here again, nor recommend this place to a friend

Oishi is a solid 4 stars, maybe 3 stars if you're comparing to places outside of Park City. I have a hard time giving 5 stars to any of the Japanese places in Park City because I feel like they're way overpriced. I could spend $100 on sushi and leave slightly hungry at most of these places. Ratings are all relative, anyway. Oishi however has some of the freshest fish in town for sashimi and nigiri and the owner/chef always seems to be working behind the sushi bar. If you like tempura-style rolls and the rolls with the goofy names they have quite a few of those as well, and all are prepared with great skill and consideration to flavor, texture, and the quality of the ingredients. The dining room is simple, a bit small, clean, but not fancy. They have a few tv's so it's definitely not upscale. In a town with lower rent the prices wouldn't be so sky high. From May until the end of November you can get half-off all nigiri and maki, so that's the best time to go, otherwise you're paying tourist prices, so figure maybe $25/person during the off-season, $50+/person in-season for sushi. Sushi is all relative so keep your expectations in check. Park City, Utah isn't going to compete with Tsukiji Fish Market, but nevertheless, everything is skillfully prepared and presented at Oishi.

Five stars during the off season with the 2 for 1 going, three stars during tourist season. Still good food but not the same kickass local spot it is during the summer. The fish is pretty good, better than some more "upscale" places in PC. Good outdoor seating which is strangely rare on Main.

Great sushi place, fairly inexpensive for being on Main Street in Park City. They are knowledgeable about gluten-free dining, and even offer GF tamari sauce! The owner is a bit intense - you have to leave your credit card number with him if you want to make a reservation! And maybe it was just Sundance, but it seemed like they watched the tables, trying to make you hurry up for the next seating/reservation. However, the sushi was GREAT! I am a big fan, and if I go to Sundance again, I will definitely go. It would be safe to make a reservation, but you don't have to - it's a very small place, but most people are dining at the more uppity sushi places, so you don't have that much of a wait.

Horrible horrible service. The bus boy was sweating into our water, we then waited 15 min to meet our waiter (had to physically track him down) following which we had to obtain our own silverware. Please note: these are just a few examples of the horrible customer service this restaurant provides. While the service is probably the worst I have ever experienced, at least the food is good. Hence the one redeeming star.

I am a local Concierge in Park City for a very exclusive clientele. I have tried all Sushi restaurants here. AVOID this one. The owner has no respect for his guests. Changed a light bulb above us during our dinner and disturbed us without asking. I asked him to stop and he laughed. The food was OK, nothing special. They also hit you with a service charge of 18% when having 50% off Sushi and then don't tell you hoping you still leave more tip. I will not be sending ANY guests to this establishment.

We read the reviews and couldn't decide if we wanted to venture into sushi in PC. Several locals recommended Oishi. We then heard low season they were offering "2 for 1" prices and we decided to check it out(although discounted sushi usually scares me!). OISHI was fantastic! Everything we had was very good. The sushi chefs were lightning fast, and our waiter did an amazing job. I will return if ever back in PC!

I'm surprised this sushi place hadn't appeared on yelp yet as it's right on main street and has multiple reviews on google maps. Anyway, I just moved into town and wanted to give my two cents. My girlfriend and I went last night and sat at the sushi bar. The off-season deals around here are pretty ridiculous so we were able to enjoy 1/2 off nigiri and rolls. Having stuffed ourselves with mexican food earlier in the day we had a pretty minimal order but it was all delicious. Whitefish tuna, yellowtail and albacore nigiri were all fresh and tasty - the whitefish was the highlight. The Mexi roll (whitefish tempura, cucumber and cilantro) and avalanche roll (lobster salad, smoked salmon, cream cheese) were both nice rolls. Nothing too out there as far as combinations go and we were satisfied. It was a slow night and we had the attention of two servers and a sushi chef and never felt ignored. They were all pleasant if not somewhat checked out as the snow hasn't started falling and the madness hasn't begun. I will say that I'm not sure we'll be going back here when it's full price because I'm on a ski bum budget and this has the usual 20% park city-main street markup, but for now I'll take my 1/2 off rolls as long as I can!

We came here with a group of 12 on a Saturday night. Waitstaff was super attentive and friendly, and were great about pointing us in the direction of menu items that were 50% off that night. Everyone at the table was an athlete and we managed to leave with full bellies at $30 a head with tip. Not bad at all for a lot of really good sushi and the added ambience of sitting outside with 11 friends.

I was surprised at the high quality of the fish here, particularly so far inland. The waiter recommended a spicy roll with salmon and it was the bomb. The dragon roll was actually on the too sweet side and I thought it was a little too fried. Service was very decent from the waiter, though the sushi chef seemed pretty out of it. Nice looking place. Way too expensive for what you get (left hungry for sure) even after a $45 bill, but for a sushi fix when in the mountains, it is a good call.

Tried this place because it was one of the few places open pre-ski season in Park City. We were seated immediately (option for table or sushi bar). The menu had a good variety of apps and rolls. Overall, the sushi was just ok. Not the best we've ever had but pretty good. When we originally got our bill, the price was steep (average about $10 per roll) but when the waiter came back with the credit card reciept he applied a 25% 'locals discount'. We'd go back...

This is my first review of an Asian restaurant in Park City, and so I freely confess that I may not have the right perspective. In any event, for a deep inland sushi restaurant, the sushi bar is truly excellent. We enjoyed quite a few different negiri and one maki and no complaints. I enjoyed the cooked food appetizers, too, although my wife wasn't especially thrilled with them. Prices are very high, I must say -- a threat to be only a three star on that regard.

Tiger something-er-other was amazing. It was one of their specials (not on the menu). The other rolls we ordered were excellent as well. Track lighting can be a little harsh depending on where you're sitting. Really speedy service (place was about half full).

My favorite sushi joint in town! Tiger Lily, Oishi, spicy scallop and Wasatch rolls are some of my favorites. Gotta love the 1/2 prices in the off season! Just writing this review is making me hungry...
